I'm thinking of going to a Nationals game on Saturday night and trying to weigh the parking cost vs using public transportation. I want to be dropped off in front of the stadium like the light rail does for us here in Baltimore.

Light Rail to BWI, THEN metrobus #B30 to Greenbelt station then transfer to the green line train and get off at the Navy Yard stop.

Sounds like a pain in the butt. Only time I did this, I took the Greyhound bus, walked to Union Station, then took the Metro... lots of walking, but it's good for ya. Sucks that the MARC doesn't run on weekends

Why not go to the O's game instead? AL East showdown vs the Jays, right before the All-Star break

Oh, and the only way to be "dropped off in front of the stadium" is if you take a cab or a limo... the Navy Yard Metro station is a good walk fron the park.

This is what Peter Angelos was afraid of, people from baltimore going to DC to watch Nats games, that's why he blocked every effort to get a team in DC all those years

Navy Yard station is only 2 blocks away if you exit through the half street entrance.

Huh? The Navy Yard Station is literally 600 feet from Nationals Park? 1 block.

You will need to take Amtrak down on a weekend until MARC service starts. Should be around $15 each way, then metro to Navy Yard from Union Station.

Either Amtrak or the way I stated in my previous post. When light rail isn't running take the #17 bus from UMB to BWI and B30 it to Greenbelt and take the train to Navy Yard.
