Default Towson

My family is moving to the Towson Area with two very bright kids, 14 and 11. We have heard really good things about the Gifted and Talented programs at Towson HIgh and Dumbarton Middle, which are the schools of our choice. We are looking for homes or condos in the Towson areas about $300,000.

I'd like someone with experience in Towson schools to give their opinion on these schools and the neighborhood. Are there activities for kids like tennis clubs, music teachers and youth jazz programs?

Thanks!

Towson is a pretty nice suburb, so you'll find all those things you're talking about. Towson High is well-regarded, as is the Carver Center for the Arts, a public "arts magnet school." If your kids are into the arts and they think they might want to pursue them in college and/or professionally, that's a great place for them to go (and of course it has all the standard academic courses as well).
