What is it with the Baltimore institutions? Coudn't have last year's Super Bowl winners open the season at home(a tradition in the NFL), because the Orioles would not flex their schedule. Now this! Not that I am a racing fan, but I do think it is a waste of taxpayer money to make temporary road alterations for the BGP, not to mention that some businesses lose income during it. It just seems like there are a lot of selfish interests at play around here.

It seems that this city government just throws things in the air and sees what sticks. No planning and no follow thru.

They could possibly have it somewhere else in the city or the county; it wouldn't be the same though.
