I got a job offer in Aberdeen Proving Ground. Can anyone worked there share some tips about the culture, attitude, and general tips about the area? How do people react to different ethnic groups? Is it a safe place for professional women? Thanks.

What ethnic group?

It's small town America. A melting pot. You'll be fine.

I lived in Aberdeen for 6 years before PCS'ing to Alaska and I never had any problem as a person of color. My mom moved into my house in Aberdeen and still lives there and has never had any problems. Plus, she retired from APG and enjoyed her employment there. I went home to visit for over a month back in 2011 and other than a few more homes and businesses, neither Aberdeen, in particular, nor Harford County, in general, have changed very much other than an increase in people. If you go there with an open mind and a friendly smile, I guarantee you will not regret moving to the Aberdeen area. If you any specific questions, please feel free to DM me.
