Default Mt. Vernon Rising

We moved to a lovely victorian townhouse in Mt. Vernon almost 1.5 years ago and have not had any problems.

It's fantastic to live in the cultural district and we commute to work in Washington DC... we love it.

Don't miss this neighborhood... lots to do, great restaurants... great city living.

Baltimore is a jaded, beautiful city ... and the Mt. Vernon neighborhood is a diamond in the rough! There are many young families not willing to give up on this city- we even have a brand new playground!

and more for your money than Canton and Fells.. a great neighborhood to invest in!

I agree. It has a way to go, but now is the time to invest. No other neighborhood in Baltimore approaches Mount Vernon's almost European atmosphere.

Default Getting better

The Mount Vernon story just keeps getting better. The improvement, although incremental, is striking. Just one example: The School for the Arts is about to complete its expansion to an adjoining brownstone on Cathedral Street. We went to see a fabulous performance of the Nutcracker there and were marveling at how Park Avenue looked so good.

Default mt. vernon

I've been in Mt. Vernon for 6 years. Many great improvements - we just recently got that elusive "Star Bucks" quotient. The only downside is its reached the point that I personally couldn't affort to buy my home today. A few random thoughts just came to me, figured I'd throw out a quick top 10 list for the neighborhood 1)Penn Station 2)Charles Theater 3)Brewer's Art 4)Walter's Art Gallery 5)New Children's park 6)Mt. Vernon Square 7)Akbars 8)Walking to Inner Harbor 9)The Lyric 10) So darn convenient to friends -- most live here, but the others are always in the area anyway!
