Speaking of constant reminders of JHH's rating, this is the photo for July from the (JHH issued) calendar at my desk, I kid you not:

Apologies for everything being backwards - taken from my computer's camera.

Have you walked through the tunnel/hallway connecting the hospital and outpatient clinics yet? It's lined with 6 foot tall posters of the magazine covers.

Yep. I've had a few doctor's appointments at JHOP, so I've seen it. They really beat you over the head with it.

Who cares? "Rankings" of universities, hospitals, etc. by some magazine that sets arbitrary standards is useless. USWR needs to constantly change rankings anyway so that they can sell magazines every year, no one wants to read the same "rankings" every single year if they don't change.

By now, no one really questions whether or not JHMI is a world class hospital or not. Hopkins has produced many nobel prize winners, famous surgeons, and publishes ground breaking medical science almost every week.

Not as many as the University of Chicago
Motto: Ubi laetatio, ad mortem. Translation: where fun goes to die.

UChicago: 89 Nobels, 4th ranking worldwide; JHU: 36 Nobels, 16th ranking worldwide.
