Does anyone know of any monthly rental apartments around $1000 a month or less? am I being realistic? Taking a job in Woodlawn and need a place to stay for a month or 2 till I find a house for my family to move up with me.

My girlfriend and I are in the same position while we search for a house to buy. We found www.airbnb.com to be the perfect solution. No need to move furniture, setup utilities, or anything else. Just pay a flat fee, and roll in your suitcase.

There are plenty of month long rentals, and a lot of land lords even rent their homes out this way, it gives them more flexibility in case they get problem tenants.

3-month leases at The Carlyle in Roland Park. I can't remember but I think I was paying $1100/month for probably the smallest studio in the world but it met my needs. And the building had common areas such as gym, lounge, computer room and wifi. Reasonable walk to Rotunda shopping and the now Giant grocery store near Falls Road.
