Hell no, left years ago.

And you know what, we didn't even live in the city....

No one has ever broken in either car. **knocks on wood** Only been here 3 1/2 years though.

I never leave stuff in my car but then again I was raised that way because I grew up in a different large city. My parents were absolutely nuts about that rule. I always watch where I park and my car never has anything that looks even remotely valuable in it.

I always lock my car and I'm careful where I park, but people will break in the rifle through your stuff. They will look through your glove compartment etc....

I was hearing from people that the LR stations are the best place. People from the city would take the LR up to HV or Falls Road and just go door to door finding the unlocked car.

Yes! In addition, I used to break into cars as well in my youth!

That type of thing happened where I grew up as well. There are no guarantees. All you can do is not make it easy by leaving the car unlocked and don't give folks an obvious reason to bust your windows by leaving valuables in the car. Try to park some place with a lot of eyeballs around or near a bright street light. After that it's up to fate.

I'm lucky though in that I have a driveway that pulls around behind my house, and I park on a busy street for work during the day. My husband's job has a parking lot on a guarded property. I don't have to do a lot of high risk stuff like park in a commuter train lot, mall parking lot or on shady side streets, or leave my car out in the street all night.

Of course, one of our cars will get broken into now that I tempted fate by speaking on it.
