Marc Camden line stops in College park. Station is 1.3 miles from main U of MD campus. You can take it to Camden Station and switch to light rail or bus.

We had planned on staying at Cherry Hill RV in College Park.
What do ya'll think?
I am working at the Univ. of Maryland Hospital on Greene St
and my husband is working at the Univ. Speicality Hosptial on S. Charles St.

Anymore suggestions?
thanks
Both are within walking distance of the MARC stop at Camden Yards if you go that route. The 45 minute drive from College Park is probably a best-case scenario.

Are there any other options for parking your trailer?

Hi ya'll

Thanks for all the replies. We have looked, weighed the options and decided to stay in Abingdon, at the RV park there.
Maybe this is a wiser decision.

Any feedback?

There's a MARC station in Edgewood, but that line stops at Penn Station in Baltimore, not downtown.

If you drive, you'll have to fight your way into Baltimore and back with the rest of the Harford/Cecil county folks on 95 (not sure about the time it would take). If you guys are working weird hours at the hospital, it might not be so bad if you can miss rush hour.

If you were to stay at the RV place in College Park, driving would be your best option. Its a straight shot up I95. I go 95 everyday, and even with traffic, its still 45 minutes or less to Baltimore. Of course, that's just to the downtown area. Once in Baltimore, I don't have a clue about traffic.

MTA's Commuter Bus might be y'all's best mass transit option from the Abingdon/Edgewood area to downtown. Likely you'd want the #420 or the #410 (express). Both stop downtown by the Convention Center (Pratt St. at Howard St.), within easy walking distance to either of the hospitals you mentioned.

The catch is that they don't have late-night service. So you'll want to check Maryland MTA's website to make sure their schedules work okay with yours.

If your employer pays for your mass transit, it's a good deal. Otherwise, it's cheaper for you two to carpool and park downtown.

However, you might enjoy renting an apartment in one of the new highrises in downtown Baltimore. That way, you could just walk a few blocks away to work + you'd be close to the Inner Harbor.
