I've never been to Hagerstown but from knowing some things about it, it seems to be rather poverty stricken, but would seem too small to possibly be very dangerous at all.

It's not horrible. But I do feel a lot safer walking around my neighborhood at night than I would have in certain areas of Hagerstown. Note that the poster was indicating you had to move as far away as Hagerstown before you will find a safe area to live. It's all relative.

If you want North East living, you need to stay in the neighborhoods of Mayfield, Arcadia, Lauraville, Hamilton, Original Northwood. Anything further out is just the county in my eyes.

Lauraville has the best restaurants in the city.

Can someone enjoy the Baltimore Hebrew Cemetary across the street from the Two Guys in peace? Or what about Clifton Park Golf Course?

I also am wondering... does the liquor store attached to the Food Depot supermarket (in a portion of the former Two Guys) attract a worse crowd than the center perhaps already does? Food Depot and Forman Mills both cater to the ghetto element. Not trying to be hurtful just trying to be honest.

Murder doesn't seem to be unusual.

I wonder... would Walmart and Sam's Club be uncomfortable at Belair-Edison Shopping Center? I could picture the Two Guys building as a Walmart Supercenter and the Zayre building as a Sam's Club. And yes, Walmart is known to pay landlords of shopping centers in decline to give the boot to the underperforming tenants there.

Also, the reviews online of Clifton Park are terrible. I get the feeling Martin's might buy out the property and put a store there.
