Hello all! I have a question for you. Coming down from NJ (Probably October or November), and I'm looking for a nice hotel to bring my wife and parents (70 years old) to. I don't want to be in the city area and would rather the inner harbor or near Antique Row. Any recommendations?

Perhaps you don't realize this, but both the Inner Harbor and Antique Row are in "the city area." It would be helpful if you could be more specific as to what you do and do not want in your lodging choices.

If you want to stay by the Inner Harbor, you could try the Hyatt Regency Hotel (fronts the west side of the harbor) or the Renaissance Hotel (fronts the north side of the harbor) or maybe the Marriott or the Courtyard, both of which are on Aliceanna Street (east side of the harbor).

I can't think of any hotels near Antique Row. In any case, it's not an area I would be comfortable walking around at night anyway. You'd be better off going there during the day but staying somewhere else overnight.

Here are two very nice hotels in pretty areas of the city. Both have onsite restaurants, lounges, fitness centers, and easy access from I-83 at the Cold Spring Lane Exit. The Doubletree is walking distance to the Baltimore Museum of Art, but the Radisson has a pool. You can catch a shuttle or taxi to the Inner Harbor or Antique Row which are a few miles away. You and your parents should enjoy your stay at either.

You don't get a lot of answers because it's a bad question. I, personally, don't know what to say. "not in city area" but in "the inner harbour" doesn't exist. An better idea of your budget would also help. I have friends who had a good experience at the Days Inn Inner Harbour for 115$/night. Is it ok for you or are you looking for something more expensive and luxurious?

In Fells Point, I liked the Admiral Fell's Inn. Location and Rooms are perfect. But again, it's in the city.... not sure what you are asking for.

What you're going to find in Baltimore is the Hotels that are in the "good" areas that are safe and within close proximity to the harbor are going to be ridiculous expensive. While the hotels in the **** areas of Baltimore where you have to walk through skid row before the harbor are going to be much cheaper, but still expensive. What's interesting in general in Baltimore is the cost of living overall depends on how "safe" you want to be!! In all actuality it's a fake safe. I've had my car broken into in Timmonium/Cocksville, MD etc....

It's all just one big ****ing joke in Baltimore!

I think OP is reflecting the unfortunate disconnect between the inner harbor and the rest of the city.
