I can drive from north Baltimore to the Mall in DC in a hour on the weekends. That includes navigating Martin Luther King, and NY Avenue in DC.

Here's an article about a woman who's not enjoying Baltimore so much.
'It's not safe here. ... My life has been threatened' -- baltimoresun.com
Guess we all can't live in Otterbein.

Okay maybe it's route I took or something. With so many people saying no more then a hour; I think they are most likily right. As I said it was a while ago that I made the track. So when I am wrong I'll admit to it. Thank you everyone who corrected me and to being polite about.

Yes, I'm sure there are a lot of people looking to move to public housing in Baltimore. The way that some people act in this forum, you'd think they were living in public housing themselves. Maybe this will offer some much needed perspective.

No, 2.5 hours???? Washington, D.C. and Baltimore are more like 45 minutes apart assuming normal traffic patterns.

Baltimore is not part of DC. Both have their positives and negatives. Culturally, Baltimore is more southern/middle American while DC is definitely northeastern, though physically and developmentally and economically DC is more Sunbelt while Baltimore is Rust Belt.

Sun Belt??? DC has an large urban core and is on par with Philly & Boston as far as density and city charqcteristics. Sun Belt cities like Dallas, Houston and Atlanta are decidely different in physical nature and development.

D.C.'s earlier architecture seems much more southern to me...than Baltimore's does. I am not expert in this area...by any means...just what it seems like to me.

At midnight, you can make it from Fells Point to Capitol Hill in about 45 minutes. During rush hour, it's about 90 minutes on average, can be a little better or a lot worse.
