Default Baltimore Waldorf School

I'm looking for info on the Baltimore Waldorf School. I've been to the website of course, and am not living in MD right now, so can't go visit. I hope to be relocating to MD in the near future and am considering BWS.

My son is in a Waldorf school in NC, and I'd like to know how the "culture" at BWS is, how well the kids are prepared for college, etc. As each Waldorf has a different "feel" I'd love to hear from people who have insights on this specific school.

Thanks!

Default waldorf school

I was a student from Pre-K to 8th grade at the Baltimore Waldorf School. I have nothing but great memories from my time there. The building is new and wonderful and the teachers and staff are all wonderful. The neighborhood that the school is in leaves a little something to be desired, it's not the safest. That is the only detriment I can relate. Other then that, I'm sure you will be very happy with the school.

I have heard all positive comments about Waldorf.. I believe the school is in the process of adding a highschool to its campus.

As far as the comment about the neighborhood not being safe... I not sure what neighborhood the poster is referring to.. Coldspring at Newtown where the Waldorf is located is a safe neighborhood ColdspringNewtown. It is borderd roughly by I-83, W. Coldspring Lane, Greenspring Ave and Northern Parkway. The neighborhood and the school work very closely together to keep the kids and the community safe.
