There are people who fit that description in Baltimore who are not
hated on. Why? Because they are not trying to deceive. Have these
qualities as well as genuine love for people and you will get love back

I think I know what you mean by trying to deceive; that rapper try to act like he wants to do good yet his raps tells a different story.

The mentality you just described is something along this line: AA needs to kiss ass (aka "love") to another AA, otherwise he will get hated on. Why can't everyone just have individualism and mind their own business and not worry about what others have?

Now, there are some Blacks who want to be white or light skin (skin bleaching - that's an entirely whole other discussion).

*Interesting comment, but we live in free market, so-called capital driven society where everyone and everything is for sale. Individualism is good for personal gain, but it doesn't do anything for the collective. In a town like this, where so many poor Blacks are not fairing too well, this jealousy will be evident.

First, stop lying to yourself in talking when talking about the psychology of Black people in Baltimore City! You know, as well as many others, that Blacks in Baltimore hate on each other with major intesity. I've witnessed this with my own eyes, my friends and family have experienced the hate due to their continued success, development and advancement.

I've heard that in certain mayoral races a few years ago, the darker-skinned blacks supported the darker-skinned black candidate while the lighter-skinned blacks supported the lighter-skinned black candidate. Atlanta was cited as well as one of the Jersey cities.
