This judge should have never allowed this to go to the jury, this is outrageous! She turned a simple traffic warrant into an armed standoff using her child as a human shield pointing a loaded shotgun at the police. What else were the police supposed to do? and $37 million is such an extraordinary amount of money. What the hell?

The County will appeal it. Maryland laws limits governmental awards to $800K.

Ridiculous, Gaines was totally responsible for her own death.
She also put her child in harms way and others now have to pay for it.

It's no wonder crime is growing out of control in Baltimore!

The county should have never allowed 6 women to be the jurers. Now a days you have to wait until the police officer is shot before you can do anything.

Ok, you know I can't let you slide with that BS, right?!! Lol.

But, a white boy in some hickville part of Baltimore, barricaded himself inside his home for almost 1 or 2 weeks before police decided to take action. The police or negotiator could have used better tactics to get her to disarm. They could have used sleeping agents, friends, relatives, etc.. Baltimore PD just loves to kill and used their firearms on its residents.

I don't know exactly what you mean but most, if not all, states have caps on damages that can be awarded from governmental entities. Some even operate under the concept of sovereign immunity which means that the government can't be sued for anything without agreeing to the lawsuit.

So I guess most of the US is "backward".

I only post the information you apparently don't like because nimrods such as yourself don't know the square root of **** when it comes right down to it.
