Default "Possibly" moving to Balto (I hope!)

I recently interviewed for a job in Baltimore, and I'm still waiting to hear. I hope I get it. If I do, I will have to relocate in a very short time span. I'd like to find something economical (i.e., cheap!) - 1 BR or studio - within reasonable distance from the job. Any advice about looking in the Woodberry / Hampden / Druid Hill Park area? Or should I consider something a bit further to get better economy?

Thank you kindly.

What's your price range? You may be able to find a moderately priced studio in Hampden or Charles Village. Both are near John Hopkins and many landlords cater to college kids with tight budgets. Also, depending on your timeframe, you may be able to get a cheap sublet from a student who won't be around during the summer months.

Prince range is one consideration. The other is, where are you moving from, and do you consider yourself a "city person", a "suburbs person" or a "small-town/country' person. The answer to those questions will highly influence the way I'd answer you. All the areas you mention have their pluses and minuses, but it depends on where YOU'RE coming from. I live in the Druid Hill Park area (Upper Eutaw Place, in Reservoir Hill), and I love it, but it's not for everybody, and I wouldn't recommend it unless I knew a bit about the person.
