Default Relocating to Maryland, Q's about areas

My fiancee and I are preparing to move to Maryland in May. She recieved job offers at hospitals around Baltimore City and Rosedale. We are more than likely going with the one near Rosedale and are currently looking at various things to help with our move such as apartments and general city information.

I was wondering if anyone could provide any information about these areas in regards to pricing for apartment rentals, safety, economy, etc:

Pikesville
Rosedale
Parkville
Towson
Rossville

These are the current cities we are finding around our intended destination. Again, any kind of feedback about these areas or if there are other ones nearby, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

If you are looking at the Rosedale hospital, it is probably Franklin Square Hospital; it's ok. Rosedale and Rossville are practically right next door to each other and there are lots of apartments out there--unfortunately one looks just like the other with minor differences.

None of those places you listed are "cities", but suburbs of Baltimore in Baltimore County. Pikesville is a long way around I695 for a commute, Towson and Parkville less so.

All of the suburbs are similar, but Rosedale can be dicey in spots.

You didn't mention any of your other factors that might affect your choice.

It is important to remember that city problems don't stop at the borders. I would never live in Rosedale or Rossville. If you want suburban life, I guess I would take Towson over the rest although Pikesville has better hook-ups to the metro. Many of the suburbs of Baltimore like Roseville or Glen Burnie would best be described as slimy in my book. They share all of the problems the city has but lack any convenience or esthetic value.

deal with towson, parkville or rosedale parts of baltimore county.pikesville is half an half being as though the fallstaff neighborhood of northwest baltimore city borders with pikesville..certain sides is good(jewish side) certain spots are heavy gang populated(black side)..towson is probably the best out of all of them
