This is a great time to drive around Guilford, admire the fabulous mansions and see the spring glory in Sherwood Gardens, at Greenway and Highfield.
If you go, take a detour to Blythewood, between Charles and Wyndhurst. One of the nicest streets in Baltimore, with architecturally eclectic mansions.

Tulips aren't out yet. Best to wait another week or two.

I took your advice and rode my bike all through this area over the weekend. The spring colors are just beginning but it was well worth the day to explore. Just beautiful.

My lilacs are starting to bloom -- last year they were white, and this year they're purple. I wonder how that happens...?

What's in bloom outside the botanical garden? I always enjoyed going there, especially this time of year.
