Question please help can't find apartment hubby works in nyc

Please help , to all , and any. We are a family of four , two kids two adults . We are looking for an apartment in Baltimore MD. We have run into this one nasty wall. My hubby works in nyc . We have been denied apartments because of this one fact. Could anyone please tell me of a nice area in Baltimore that would still consider us even though he works in NYC. We are an african american family willing to pay up tp 1220 for a two bedroom. Its funny because the worst places will take us ,no questions asked but the better areas won't. Any help would be greatly appreciated. .We desperately need to leave the area we are in which is Oxon Hill MD .

That's bizarre -- they won't rent to you because your husband works in NYC??? I actually know someone who works in NYC and commutes on the Acela. Why that would be a strike against you -- it makes no sense.

Yeah...something here doesn't add up. There are no areas of Baltimore that categorically won't rent to people who work in NYC. Maybe there was one goofy landlord or something...

I'd suggest looking at the usual listings, and just calling.
