Default Camden MARC train to McPherson Square in D.C.

OK, I need to go from Camden station in Baltimore, to McPherson square in D.C. for an overnight stay. I can walk to the Camden station in Baltimore, but want to commute to the McPherson Square metro stop in D.C. I was originally planning to drive to New Carrolton stop, leave my car overnight and take the orange line in to the square. Is there a way to take a line from Camden to New Carrolton? Or into Mcpherson Square ultimately?

Take Camden to Union Station, then go downstairs and take the Orange Line to McPherson. No reason to drive at all.

The Orange Line doesn't go to Union Station. You have to take the Camden train to Union Station, get on the Red Line to Metro Center, and then transfer to the Orange Line and get off at McPherson Square.

McPherson Square (on the Orange/Blue Lines) is fairly close (2-3 blocks) from Metro Center (on the Red Line, which stops at Union Station). Depending on how much stuff you are carrying, you may not even need to transfer at Metro Center.

Sounds good. I could take the camden station MARC to Union Station, Catch the red line to Metro Center and walk a few blocks to McPherson square.

Only issue is I just noticed MARC train service doesn't run on weekends. And I'm leaving Baltimore this afternoon, returning on Saturday. I would be stuck.
Any way around that?

It will cost you a bit more but you can Amtrak back to Penn Station, then ride the light rail toward your digs.
Or take a Greyhound to the no-man's land off Russell Street, not far from Pigtown.

I feel your pain -- I had to do almost the same commute, and it wasn't fun. Weekends I took Amtrak.

Too bad the Orioles aren't at home, otherwise you could hitch a ride on the Orioles Express bus from Greenbelt prior to the game.
