Three female recent college grads searching for a nice 3 BR townhouse in Federal Hill. We want a nice, safe area that caters to the young crowd as well.

What streets in particular do you recommend? We like the area around Federal Hill park, but is that area of the older crowd?

I wouldn't say the people who live near the park are older -- they're just more established. That's the more expensive part of the neighborhood, and the homes are mostly owner-occupied. You'll want to look further into South Baltimore, towards Fort Avenue.

Just don't live too close to the bars. You want to be at least 2 blocks away from cross and light to the east.

I agree that staying two blocks from light, cross (the bars) is a good idea. It makes for better parking. I love living in Fed Hill! Streets closer to the park still have rentals, so don't not look there. I lived in Locust Point before moving a few streets South and thats a GREAT area too.
