Default Hawthorn Townhouses in Middle River/Essex

Can anyone tell me what the townhouse neighborhood called Hawthorn is like? I have been told it's in Essex and also been told it's in Middle River - so I guess the two towns are small and close together or something. The townhouses are right behind the grocery store Gresbeck's and off of Eastern Blvd.

Default Hawthorne Townhouses

Depends on your taste, I found it a little to crowded for my taste. I do not care for the city setting and Hawthorne reminded me of living in the city because kids hang out and you hear noise like a neighborhood in town. Not a bad neighborhood, not crime or anything like that, it just that I am a little older and I moved out for a more quieter effect, so I needed the cricket, bird singing type neighborhood, but if you are younger you will probably really enjoy it. It is clean and well kept up. They manage apartments called Windsor house on Martin Blvd, much more of my taste.

Hawthorne is a very nice location and has well-kept brick townhouses at reasonable prices. It is on a little peninsula, and has small waterfront parks on either side.

???do you like living in a neighborhood where you can buy drugs off of kids on the corner, or where two drive by shootings occurred in 2006??? Have you actually lived there??? any of you???and kept up with what was going on in your neighborhood? one of you say you are older and moved for less noise. you must be a little naive to think the noise was innocent. my brother lived there, he is a Balto.Co. cop, and after he knew of every crime going on in his neighborhood, he promptly sold his house for a loss to just get out.

I don't live in Hawthorne, but I do live within a mile of that neighborhood, and I have used the parks for my walks as recently as a week ago. I am not surprised that you can buy drugs in the neighborhood, just as I'm not surprised that you can buy them in pretty much any neighborhood. I don't know anything about the drive by shootings but if that happened then it is sad to hear. But I don't think it is the norm.
