I have a problem
I have a problem. I'm mature enough to admit when I am wrong (a slight possibility in this case). While riding the light rail today to an event downtown, I was actually considering the possibility of living in the city (Mt. Washington, that area). Now, I know I've stated the city is a cesspit of despair and vulgarity, but it is a very remote, slight, almost infinitesimally small, possibility that my long held belief of the city and it's social environment (gained from working EMS in run down areas of town for several years) may have been using too broad a brush stroke...
Just thought I'd put that out there.
(parts are still crap though... old habits die hard ya know...)

Welcome, welcome
It's hallelujah time! Even the though of your conversion is a ticket to heaven. We live in Cheswolde, the next neighborhood north of Mount Washington, northwest of Greenspring Avenue. We are still in the city, but we could not find a quieter neighborhood. Rabbits, foxes and an occasional deer.

I love Mt. Washington and would live there if I wasn't already firmly rooted where I am now. It's a lovely neighborhood and it doesn't feel like you're in the city at all.

Pimlico yes or no
Would anyone know what is slated for the Pimlico area? I own a house at Chalgrove and Garrison Avenue off of Belverdere. Not sure whether to sale or hold on to it.

Park Heights
Here is a link to a widely celebrated plan to revitalize Park Heights. Many that I have talked with are still on the fence given the City's slow to do approach of revitalizing this area. Some have said that only the redevelopment of Pimlico Track (which is proposed in this plan) with the addition of higher income housing, retail, office etc on this large tract.. could have a spillover affect on down into Park Heights. The area is surrounded by very stable neighborhoods on the north, east, west and the park on the south so you would like to think it could happen especially since the City is the largest landlord in the neighborhood. I would hold on if it there is no reason to sell or if the property/tenant are manageable.
