Default Apartments in mount washington near light rail station

Can any of you suggest any apartments that are walkable to the mount washington light rail station.
I am looking dor apartments there or at Pikesville.
Which area would you think requires a shorter commute to Market Place.
Any inputs...

Mount Washington would definitely be a shorter commute to Market Place, and it has the advantage of the light rail. I think Bonnie Ridge Apartments off Smith Avenue are technically walkable to the light rail stop, but it's probably at least a 10 minute walk.

I would say that Bonnie Ridge is the closest professionally managed apartment complex to the Mt. Washington Light Rail Station. However, it's a pretty good walk from there up a long hill to the apartments; could get pretty hot in the sun if you're dressed for the office; in the winter it can be a long cold walk. You could probably find privately-owned apartments in the area on craigslist. But I would say just take your car and park on the Light Rail Lot. Because you're going to have to walk after you get off the train.
The other things is that it's a much longer walk from Market Place to the light rail line on Howard Street than going to the Metro Shot Tower station. If you walk along Lombard to Howard, you should be ok; it's a long 6 blocks.

However, the Shot Tower Station for the Metro can be a little dicey late at night. Though the walk is somewhat shorter.

I'd recommend getting an apartment in Pikesville (The Brittany or Esates Apartments come to mind) because of the subway. The Shot Tower/Market Place station will take you directly to Market Place (hence the name Market Place). If you were to take light rail you'd either have to transfer to the subway at Lexington Market or take the long walk that medfieldbum is talking about.

I hate to say this because it's something i read on craigslist today but someone who lives at bonnie ridge posted that he's caught 14 mice in 3 months. Another person who lived in the same apartment complex replied using craigslist saying the original poster could get a cat for only $30 a month who'd keep his place mice free. The second poster did mention they have a mouse in their unit. If you type "mount washington" in the search tool on craigslist under the apartment listings, it should come up with both posts as well as others. I'm sure the original poster is someone who didn't know what they were getting themselves into when they signed their lease. I've been there before, and trust me, i practically lived in someone else's house, coming to my apartment just to pick up mail and a few stuff.
If you're ok with mice, then i guess you should take this with a grain of salt but personally, i crossed mt. washington off my list when i read that today. Maybe you should get a cat... that'll take care of it.

Maybe you should stop reading craigslist?

First, $30 a month for a cat?-most cats will do it for a little bit of cat food every day!

I lived in the Mt. Washington area for 17 years-animals abound, but mice and rats are largely absent.

So find a cat who hasn't got an agent and buy a Tin Cat Trap-they work.

There's been a good bit of work out that way-that disturbs the meeces, and causes them to look for new homes.

Not even Antactica is totally free of mousies-that's why cats are popular pets.

Ferrets also utttery terrify mice, and are fun pets, too.

Adopt a kitty, and fear not!
