Default Commute from Millersville, MD to Washington, DC (Gallery Pl/Judiciary Sq)

What'll be the least expensive and time saving commute from Millersville, MD to my work in DC that is located within a block of Gallery Pl/Judiciary Sq? So far, reading the other users post, here is what I'm thinking and would like to know the other experienced user's opinion on if I'm correct on my plan:

The parking at Odenton for MARC is free. So, I'm thinking about driving to Odenton and taking Penn Line to Union Station (monthly cost $125) and taking Metro Red Line to either Gallery Pl or Judiciary Sq (daily cost of $3.30). Is this the best approach or anyone would suggest driving to DC and find a parking that costs anywhere from $200 and up in DC? I was also thinking about driving to New Carrollton and taking Metro (Orange and Green Line), but the parking at New Carrollton would add to the expense. I'm new to the area and would appreciate anyone's advise. Thanks.

The route you described is best (Odenton, MARC Penn Line to Union Station, Metro Red Line). The Odenton parking lot fills up, so try to get there early. Also, allow a total of 60-70 minutes for the entire commute.

Thank you... when u said "get there early", what time would u recommend by? I've little bit flexibility on my work schedule. If I get there by 7am, will I be able to get parking? Thanks, again.

If you go to www.commuterdirect.com you can purchase a combination MARC monthly pass/unlimited DC Metro pass from Odenton to Union Station for $205/month. This is probably the best deal, especially if you'll ever be taking the metro once you're in DC (to go out after work, run errands, customer meetings, etc).

No worries.

There's also a secondary satellite lot that is huge and never comes close to filling up.
