Default Apartments in Baltimore

I am moving to Baltimore soon. I am looking for a 1 bedroom apartment (600 ft or more) either downtown or reasonably close to my work (Union ave just off I83) in a safe area for a 6 months lease starting August 7-8. I will not have the time to fly to Baltimore to see the place. I read some reviews online about places infested with rats and so on and I would definitely want to avoid those. Any advice or comments on places to check? My budget for rent is up to 1,100$. Thank you!

quick question,
where did you read the reviews about places infested with mice? i'm trying to find a place where i can read reviews as well. At the current moment, i think i'm moving out of the city to a townhouse with cats. In the name of auto insurance and not having to deal with mice.

I would defiantly suggest The Gallery Tower... inexpensive, 1 bedrooms, lots of features, safe, secure, and not a lot of foot traffic on that block. I was ogn to move there, but my wife wanted to live in the county.

honestly, the rating system doesn't work, people only go there to complain, and so many of the own management comment on their own rating just to boost it.
