Default Ms. Dixon Investigation

Well, I was out of the country for three weeks, got back last Sunday and haven't heard a word about the investigation of Ms. Dixon, our mayor. Anyone have the latest scoop on that? Was there an outcome? Thanks in advance.

Not having the benefit of knowing "maryland politics" what is the real motivation behind this investigation? Is it in fact that there was some unethical or illegal things that had gone on.. as is being painted or is it more about political mudsliging, partisian politics etc..? I have asked this question to some neighbors and longtime residents of the City and.. among other things, some believe that the real target is the current Governor and part of this is an effort to thrust a little dirt on his record as Mayor and to possibly uncover other activities to tarnish his chances at a second run at office ????

Sheila Dixon, a great mayor, is not the brightest bulb on the tree. She may have done things she should not have done. But the fact also remains that the prosecutor is a Republican who is after Democrats' scalps.
