Default Best crab shack near Baltimore?

I'll be in Baltimore in October and am hoping to eat at a restaurant with good crab and a good, fun atmosphere. I'm looking for a place that serves crab with the whole newspaper on the table and all the tools for eating it deal. Inexpensive is good, also.

Thanks!

Somebody please correct me but I haven't seen a crabhouse with newspapers on the tables for decades, not since the old Bud Paolino's in Highlandtown enclosed its open-air beergarden. Those beergardens were quite incredible: all tables filled by big families eating carbs and drinking draft beer under the blue skies.
But crabs, of course, also used to be cheap, plentiful and from the Chesapeake Bay. Now they tend to come from North Carolina and Texas.

Windsor Inn, on Windsor Mill Road, is another possibility for crabs. It's also a consistently cheap lunch spot much favored by bureaucrats from nearby Social Security Administration headquarters.

I know what you mean about the paper on the table crab places. When I was younger we use to eat at Jackies Crab Shack somewhere around Edgewood Maryland. The crbs had this good red spicey stuff on them. YUMMY!!!!That is the kind of place I want to take my family and enjoy.

I'm familiar with Jackies. It has changed hands quite a bit through the years and now it's vacant again. We now go down to Baldwins for crabs which is a little further down Rt. 40 from Jackies.

I love LP Steamers. We just had crabs on their deck Sunday night. Can't beat it.
