Westbrook subdivision of Catonsville?
Hi. I posted this on the general MD board but I am guessing Baltimore people may know this are better.
My Fiance and I are thinking about making an offer on a townhome in the Westbrook subdivision of Catonsville, MD.
Does anyone have any info on this part of Catonsville? It is inside the beltway off Edmondson.
Is it a safe area? Nice neighbors?

It is a nice section of Catonsville, but it is close to Baltimore city line. I can't remember if it feeds into Westowne Elementary . It is a nice little neighborhood but with mostly older people that have already raised their families.

I believe all that you say but still don't know exactly where it is located. If you search for Academy Heights on this board, you may find comments that apply.

I don't know if you are familiar with Christian Temple on Edmondson Ave, but it is very close to it.

I have friends who live in the area. It's fine, except for lots of beltway roar in certain locations. In fact, the whole stretch of Edmondson Avenue from the city line out toward Oella has lots of nice houses.

A lot of drug activity in that area. Particularly in the apartment complexes. That neighborood is where those 2 teenage boys were kidnapped from there house because there older brother was a dope dealer and had missed a couple payments. It is a pretty good neighborhood though. Drive through on a Friday or Saturday night and see what you see.
