Default Cheap Places to Marry in Baltimore

I know this may be a long shot but I just got engaged and would like to have a small, simple wedding reception next Oct in Baltimore. But since me and the fiance and also looking to a buy a house next year, there isn't much money leftover for a big affair.

Can anyone recommend some very inexpensive places to have a small wedding reception? Ideally, I'd like to consider catering (or we may have it pot-locked), music and maybe an area for some dancing.

I know nothing about this. Thanks!

Well first you need to figure out how many people and what your food budget is. Then you can figure out how much per head, which is how most places will charge you.

It also helps to specify an area as Baltimore and surrounding counties is huge.

I would suggest "Columbus Gardens" and the "Bowman" both in the Nottingham/Parkville area.

I also did a birthday party at "The Life of Reilly" pub in Butcher's Hill downtown. They have an upstairs area you could have to yourselves. They really worked with us on the menu and keeping the cost down.

Another option is to have hors d'oeurves and finger food only and a cash bar instead of a dinner.
