Red Maple, Sky Lounge and Good Love are all worthy options.

Sky Lounge is no more--it's now Abbey Burger Bistro. Though it's not my scene, I've heard good things about Eden's Lounge in Mt. Vernon.

I loved the Sky Lounge, but it is closed. Also, Good Love was great, and sadly it was replaced by a place called Pure. I haven't gone to Pure, but I heard that it is empty. Eden's Lounge is ok, but it is 20.00 to get in, which I think is a lot considering that it is really small, and the decor is so-so. The dj is good, and the drinks are about $8. It has never been packed when I have been there, on Fridays or Saturdays, and they turn up the lights and try to get everyone out way before 2am, which sucks if you paid 20 to get in, or 40 last night because of the Maxwell Concert after-party was held there.

Red Maple is really nice, decor-wise, but they only play hip-hop and r&b on Sundays, and to my knowledge, only 1 sunday per month. I really wish there were more places like Red Maple in Baltimore, but there isn't.

La Palma opened recently on Redwood St, and is really nice inside, but it is EMPTY!

Baltimore has a lot of bars, but if you want to get dressed up and go to a really nice club, with modern decor, a big crowd, good ambiance, you need to drive to DC. Love, Ibiza, Layla, H2O, etc.

Has anyone been to Club One lately? That place is nice, and they play hip- hop, but I haven't been there in a while so I don't know if people still go there.
