That is my hope.. if a casino is built if a new race track is built nearby on the designated site and the old Pimlico site redeveloped into a mixed use development... the increase in gambling proceeds to offset some of these high taxes would be beneficial to many property owners... It seems that everybody is trying to get in on the slot thing.. I read that Wilmington is also attempting to get slots legalized on their emerging waterfront.. For Baltimore to have a thriving inner harbor, sport facilities, cruise ship terminal with more departures, access to I-95.. a casino/track could round out these "amenities" depending on what drives you... I just hope the politicos don't screw it or us up with it
