My husband and I are in the midst of making a move. We live in a town that I have been in my entire life and we feel like we need a change (i.e. away from all the family). We feel like we need to get out and grow in our relationship together. We are 24 and are trying to move to a city with a "downtown" area that we can live and play in, as opposed to the suburbs. Any advice on types of housing, costs and neighborhoods? Thanks!

You might want to try posting this in the Baltimore sub-forum to get better feedback. There is a sticky thread at the top of that forum with descriptions of many of the city's neighborhoods. To live in a city in Maryland with a real downtown area (including many neighborhoods with their own commercial districts), you pretty much have to stick with Baltimore City.

As far as recommending a neighborhood it comes down to first your income level, some areas are expensive while other are pretty cheap.
