Default Frugal home remodeling resources

I recently moved from Northen Virginia (Fairfax) to Harford County and we are about to buy a house. Down in NoVA, there is a Habitat for Huminity store that accepts donatations of used and excess home remodeling supplies and architectural salvage. We donated our usable, but older appliances, cabinets, etc to them. Additionally, they sold these things to the general public. Some of there inventory was brand new stuff donated by builders who ordered too much or something (like pallets of brand new Pella windows).

Does anyone know of a place like this around Baltimore? A key is it needs to be open to the general public. I have heard of a place downtown that accepts donations, but my understanding is they have income restrictions for those who want to buy (and I think thats a great thing! I just know we won't qualify).

Unfortuantly, my googling skills are failing me tonight so I thought I would come here for help

Thanks! That was the one I was thinking of. Looks like they don't limit by income anymore.

And in case anyone else is looking, I finally turned up a good list here! Lots of salvage/historic preservation links. And for people like me, I see it as reduce-reuse-recylcing
