Hey... I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea about apartments in safe areas in or near Baltimore. Will be transferring with me job to the UM Med center... I will be moving in august. Just wanted an idea of where to look.

"Safe" is a relative term in Baltimore, but Federal Hill would be your best bet for UM Med. About 10 minutes by car. If you want to walk, try Ridgleys Delight of Barre Circle. They can both be a tad shady, so be careful.

There are some really nice apartments available in the Greene House and Sailcloth Factory buildings -- I was literally just in both websites. Do a Google search for them, as I've deleted the links now. They're both just a stone's throw from UM Med.

I'd also recommend Bolton Hill (a very quick light rail ride).
