Default Musician moving to Baltimore...need advice please!

Hello everyone who reads this,
I am currently living in Frederick,MD...my sister just got approved for a home loan so she was thinking of buying a house either here in Frederick or Baltimore. Neither one of us know much about Baltimore, but were both huge music fans so we figure Baltimore has to have a better music scene going on then here in Frederick. We can only get a house $150,000 or lower, so I was wondering if anyone can recommend any cool areas where musicians may tend to live or artists. I've only been to Baltimore a handful of times, I always liked it...but I did notice there looks like a lot of sketchy people around. Pretty much I just want to live somewhere down there where I don't have to worry about anyone breaking in a stealing my drum set or my car or anything else. I appreciate any advice that you all have to offer

Baltimore does have a good music scene especially Indie Rock.

I would suggest Hampden. It's a nice area with artists/musicians.

You should be able to find something in your price range.
