Wilkens Ave -- grew up there.
Baltimore St. (the old Park Royal Hat Factory -- had a massive warehouse space for $300/mo. over top of the old Eldorado Club !)
Charles Village (3200 block of St. Paul St.)
Mt. Vernon (800 block Park Ave.)
Bolton Hill (Bolton & Laurens)
Hampden (W. 34th, block next to Wyman Park)

Of the places I've lived as an adult: I loved Hampden and Mt. Vernon; liked Charles Village a lot; disliked Bolton Hill; and shake my head, laugh, and still don't quite believe that I lived on Baltimore St.

(I can't be objective about SW Baltimore, since it's basically defined by childhood memories.)

Past City Residences and One Liners:
Overlea--way back when, like there were still streetcars running on Bel Air Rd,
Charles Village--80's and briefly again in late 90's, quirky and colorful characters abound,
Patterson Park--80's "hated it", great neighbors, horrible neighbors, rats ruled,
Butchers Hill--80's, see Patterson Park above,
Asburton--80's, kind of fun, great houses, nice people,
Hampden--80's never really got the appeal, although I do love the Golden West and Robert E. Lee DOG Park,
Arcadia on Herring Run Park-- 90's Best Memories of City Living in Baltimore, great park, great neighbors, good times, best dogs!
Hamilton/Beverly Hills--90's okay, but not tight knit like Arcadia,
Cedarcroft--90's "happy to leave", drugs, crime and York Rd. traffic,
Canton-- 03, as long as you have a garage--it's a fun place to be
