Default does the city of baltimore require a city sticker when owning a car there?

In Chicago, you pay $75-80 a year. Car registration is $140 a year. How's in Baltimore, MD. I lived in MD, but not in Baltimore is why I'm asking this.

Baltimore doesn't require anything like that. MD's vehicle registration fee is slightly less than that but paid only every other year. Certain neighborhoods do require a $20 residential parking permit to try to prevent nonresidents from taking up scarce spots. More info here:

I'd call a lawyer, because you're paying almost twice the required yearly registration costs.....

He's paying $79 annually to the state of Illinois for license plate tags (Secretary of State Basic Fees) plus $75 or $120 annually (depending upon weight of car) to ChiTown City Hall for a Chicago vehicle sticker (http://chicityclerk.com/licenses/200...ce%20Chart.pdf) for a total yearly auto fee of $154 or $199.

I have to laugh when I read of Marylanders complaining of high taxes and living costs in Maryland. The Cook County sales tax out here is 10.25% (yes, that's one-zero point two-five percent). And the single ride subway/elevated fare is $2,25 and about to be raised shortly.

No, the good life does not come cheap or easy out here in this ice-box of a town.

Ah, you've just ruined my day.

and you're in CHicago and not know this?

Ok, $140 a year for my car registration. The city sticker is different, it's $75-80 a year. It's required if you live in the city, if cop pulls you over and not have one placed on the passenger side of your car windshield, you might get twice the ticket. I paid $80 since I bought it at a convenient store, not the MVA. Currency Exchange store sells these.

Ah---but Chicago has better (although falling apart) mass transit so a need for the car is not as much!
