Default Moving to Baltimore City

Can anyone tell me about the Ten Hills, Westgate, and Hunting Ridge neighborhoods of Baltimore City? My husband and I are expecting our first baby in November and we are moving to Baltimore and these are the neighborhoods that have the style of house we like. We just can't tell from the crime stats if there is cause for alarm.
Any info would be appreciated. THX!

I live in Baltimore and it has to be one of the worst cities in the United States. Absolutely no place to raise a child. the Baltimore City Schools are reknown for underachieving. Not including the fact that your child might have to pack a gun starting in grade school just to protect him or herself. If your moving from DC, stay in the Suburbs somewhere.

I agree with the last person. I currently live in Baltimore but leaving because this is not a place to raise kids. Even if you happen to live in a nice neighborhood you can encounter problem in other parts of the town. Baltimore has also recently gained popularity with national gangs such as the MS13, Bloods and Creeps. It is now the second deadliest city in the country.

Now on a lighter note, the city is doing a lot of development in the downtown area. I believe in 10+ years this city will be great. But with greatness comes a great cost.....home cost. One of the other key reasons why I choose to leave Baltimore is I need a four+ bed room house which I could afford in a neighborhood I would want to live in. You may be shocked at how much you money won't buy you.

i deff agree with them, baltimore is 100% no doubt the deffinition of the ghetto. The only place in baltimore thats really safe is like maybe hamilton, and camden, by the alameda. other than that dont come here, you'll be doing yourself a favor.
