Okay, I see that you want a larger deal, something that will really turn LA around in one year.
Alright, suppose we package Rowan with.....a 32 year old left handed starter...former Cy Young winner...never misses a start....two time All Star....signed through 2013...veteran of five post seasons...doesn't worry about what the other guys are doing just goes out there and gives 110 % while staying within himself and taking em one game at a time.
Source: Ted Lilly has agreed to terms of a new deal with the #Dodgers. Physical scheduled for next week.

He's giving up more and more flyballs.
Lilly is 34 and will pitch his age 35-37 years (if this is a 3 year contract). There is no upside on signing Lilly and only the increased chance that he'll get injured or less effective with age.
I expect the deal to be something like 3 years and $25 million. Which is about right. The biggest problem is that the best this deal can be is 'ok' while it could go horribly wrong. That's the wrong kind of risk.

I originally had 3/30 as the terms but though was too high. It's not my money that's being spent but it'll be interesting to see what contracts other F/A pitchers get.
