It's a shame. For a span of 1975-1993 the Pirates and Phillies used to play some epic battles and the stadium would be filled with opposing teams' fans.
I think there was a game in 1993 when Kevin Stocker hit a walkoff homer in the bottom of the 16th to win 1-0 and Bob Walk and Curt Schilling each pitched 11 or 12 innings.
But the crazy part was the game was only like 4 hours (very short for a 16 inning game).
Actually 1992, G Man. The 93 team was favored (some thought they'd dethrone the Jays) to win the East but a certain upstart group of hooligans from the other side of the state shocked the world Needless to say I don't think the 93 Pirates won more than 80 games and it was the begining of the end so to speak.
And the worst part of the "We are family" era was that Sister Sledge was from Philly! That's right. Pittsburgh was jocking Philly before New York stole water ice and the Roots. Thieves!

In the name of keeping the peace, to say nothing of diplomacy, you may have them back. With all appropriate apologies.
