Who will win the National League?
I think the Division Champions in the National League will be the Braves,Reds and Padres with the Mets as the Wildcard team. As a Braves fan,I think the Braves will win the National League Pennant and Play the Yankees in the World Series.

If the Braves can overtake the Phillies and the Mets too can finish with a better record, bless their hearts. Both deserve to win the WS.

I'd like a small market like Cincinnati win, but it is wide open as of right now, no one team is really dominating and I don't want to see St. Louis back in there, manager is over analytical and overrated. . . but San Diego is a strong contender and Mets can surprise, remains to be seen.

I picked the Cardinals before the season started, so they're still my pick.

See the thing is, the Reds have fielded some of my favorite players ever (Pete Rose, George Foster, Frank Robinson, etc). Part of me really wants to see them overtake St. Louis. But then there's another part of me that would rather see them be mediocre. Scott Rolen is a crybaby and they still can't draw any fans.
Same story with San Diego. The Gwynns are great and Ozzie Smith came up with them. At the same time, their "fans" don't deserve to see any success.

I would sorta agree with this, except there are no guarantees. Mariners want alot in exchange for Lee, I can't see many NL teams giving up that much just to make the playoffs as he becomes a free agent next season, however, stranger things have happened.
Twins is one team that probably can afford to trade as they have that number one catcher prospect in their farm system which they don't need, good trade bait, besides Twins ballpark is a pitchers haven, Lee will fit right in and a strong possibility in putting Minnesota over the top this season should they land him.

The best case scenario would be to have ATL win the East, the Reds win the Central, San Diego the West, & the Mets to take the WC. I think that ATL can take out the Reds and I also like Cincy's bullpen. I don't know why but I have a feeling that SD would struggle and fall to NYM. I would love to see Atlanta do what they do best in the next match-up and go to the WS. In the WS, it would only be right to beat the Yankees but screw them, I'd like for ATL to play Boston and win in 7. So, I would go with Atlanta because I feel that they have the most balance (bench, pen, starting pitching, etc) to make a run.

I think Minn and Dodgers may be front runners for Lee. Id love to see Cincy get him and would die if the Cards did. You are right, he is obviously a rental but could be well worth it.
