Not to take anything away from Halladay...which is an amazing performance...but didn't Cliff Lee shutdown the Rays today? It's not like Lee is some bum.
This was his very first time he ever pitched in a playoff game and got a no-hitter. WTH!! Before he did that amazing feat last night no writer could have written a story about a player doing that. No one would ever believe it.
1. First player since Larson (1956) of the Yankees to record a no hitter in the playoffs.
2. First pitcher ever in the playoffs to score more points than the opposing team.

No, but moving Lee cleared the way for Halladay (and Oswalt for that matter). And while Lee had a good game, he narrowly escaped what could have been a big first inning for the Rays.
