This reminds me of something. Can't quite put my finger on what it is...Oh yeah!

Reminds me of being in middle school and having your first crush. You can't get that person off of your mind so you just keep writing their name over and over and over on your notebook.

That's why they play it again every year.

I note that this did not stop you from tossing around the insults.

What sort of relevancy are you claiming exists between expressions of indifference toward the particular WS participants and the MLB powers that be? They cannot change their system so as to limit the potential winners to only big market areas, and the television ratings for the Series provides them with 100 % of the information that they need to evaluate how popular a meeting between two particular teams was. Where in this equation does someone's expression of indifference on an internet chatboard come into play? That is what I would need to know in order to understand what it is that disturbs you about my post. You claim relevancy for it, but I would need an explanation as to the how and why.
My indifference has nothing to do with who is in the playoffs but rather the overall quality of the product that the league has put forth over the past 10 years or so.

Turns out the majority of big name players were on the juice and MLB didn't care so they turned a blind eye and then can't\won't release. Then you have payrolls all out of whack destroying competitive balance. It's also difficult in this economy with people complaining about "ceo pay" and "fat cats" to learn that there are about 80 players in MLB making enough to land in the top echelon of CEO pay with A-Rod making an obscene 33 million this year courtesy of his past "help" from supplements.

So, a lot of people like myself still keep 1/2 and eye on baseball but barely....and I used to be a fan.

All this is moot of course since I've explained how indifference is very relevant when a company is selling a non-essential entertainment product.

I've been hooked on the World Series since I started following the Milwaukee Braves in the 50's ( as a kid)

The pitching matchup tonight can equal or exceed any past World Series.

My dream game tonight? A 1-0 or 2-0 final score and both pitchers striking out 10+

My most memorable games have been pitching matchups where both pitchers are mowing em down

Don't like the Rangers' line up

I'd go
2B Kinsler .382/.412
3B Young .330/.444
LF Cruz .375/.576
CF Hamilton .411/.633
RF Guerrero .345/.496
1B Moreland .364/.469
C Molina .279/.320
SS Andrus .342/.301
P

Kinsler is a much better hitter than Andrus. Gets on base more, more power. He needs to move up in the order. Let Andrus bat last so he can utilize his speed in front of the pitcher.

I'd also seriously think about Murphy in place of Vlad. The left-handed bat, the better defense...

Weird first inning

Lincecum's gaffe at 3rd base was worth 12% of a win

Bad base running by Sanchez as well

So far we have had Lincecum staging an inexplicable brain spaz on a run down play, Sanchez falling down in the basepaths to get himself doubled off of second, and what was supposed to be the NL advantage, the greater hitting experience of its pitchers, was just rendered moot by Cliff Lee's double.

I think the Giants need Huff to get some hits.
