Default The Official Texas Rangers Thread

Cannot wait for the 2011 regular season to begin. If last year was any indication of the future, I am ready to embrace it

Feliz's first try not as great as I hoped it would be as a starter. Throwing 26 pitches in the first inning is never a good thing. However, he was able to come out of unscathed as far as any runs being scored. I am looking forward to his next outing and seeing improvement. Good thing is that we won anyway 11 to 9 against the Indians.

Everything on the web is saying that he stepped down, resigned, left the club, etc. But what of his ownership status, is he selling?

Looks like Greeny was forced out due to his and Nolan's differences on several issues as of late. You know with these things, we'll never really know the whole truth Too much of a micromanager for Nolan's and the board's taste from I heard on 1310 The Ticket......

Bounce back...to what? He was never good.

Dude can't put the bat on the ball.

The average major leaguer strikes out about 20% of the time. Teagarden has struck out in 129 of 326 major league at bats. That's more than 40% of the time.

In the minor he struck out 307 out of 886 at bats. That's 35% of the time. That's just not major league quality.

There's only one guy in the majors over the last 3 seasons who comes close to that amount of K's. Mark Reynolds (39.5%). But Reynolds walks a lot more and has more power.

I'll be surprised if Teagarden is every anything more than a backup with 'potential'.
