I was inspired to make this thread after reading this article:Boston's Lost Cause. The average age of Boston Braves Boosters are 89.3 and they probably won't get to see their squad play in 2013, that's sad. Also: Let go of the Boston Braves? Not in this lifetime, thanks.

Anyway, I was sort of surprised that these guys were still around and I think that it's neat. I just wanted to know if there are some:

-Boston or Milwaukee natives who follow Atlanta?
-Philly or K.C. natives who follows Oakland?
-Montreal people who goes for DC?
-Dodger fans still in NY?
-Twins fans in DC?
-NY natives who support the SF Giants?
-etc, etc, etc...

I would like to hear some experiences, see pictures, read articles, etc on this. It's just something interesting to talk about. That's it.

Though I'm much too young to have seen the Philadelphia A's play their home games in Philadelphia, I do belong to the following group:

Philadelphia Athletics Historical Society's Official Website and Online Shoppe

They have a fairly nice (though small) museum in Hatboro, PA that has a decent amount of memorabilia (and not just for the Philadelphia A's or just for baseball).

I have a coworker who I talked baseball with frequently, who grew up in a Manhattan and was a huge fan of the Giants when he was a kid, he is about 70 years old now. When the Giants where in the World Series, he stopped my cube and said: “Wow, is unbelievable, watching the Giants with that uniform, I can’t believe I feel so emotional about this, Go Giants!”...so that was kind of moving!
