At one time, he was one of my favs, but now he is a guaranteed loss when he comes in. What do you think will/should happen to him. Hopefully they trade him soon.

The certainly appears to be something wrong with Broxton. In 2010

MONTH: K/9, BB/9, FIP
APRIL: 14.54, 1.04, 0.19
MAY: 12.89, 1.23, .83
JUNE: 12.19, 3.48, 1.53
Totally dominant

JULY: 8.38, 5.59, 5.77
AUG: 8.49, 4.63, 2.99
Certainly less dominant, but still useful

SEPT: 4.91, 11.05, 9.22
Turned on his head

In 2011 so far: 6.97, 6.10, 6.04
Useless

Something is obviously wrong. And not that hard to figure out what.

In 2008 and 2009 Broxton's fastball was consistently in the 94-97 MPH range. Now it is more likely to be in the 91 - 94 range.

What's going to happen to Broxton? He almost certainly will not be traded. He makes $7 million this year and he's certainly not pitching up to that salary. Why would any team trade for him? This is Brox's second year of arbitration, so unless he improves over the course of the season, LA will most certainly non-tender him in the offseason.

Hadn't seen these two plays by the Dodger 'defense' with 2 outs in the 9th previous to my prior post

Broxton isn't pitching well, but no way to pin that loss on him.
