I woke up this morning and see that the baseball tonight crew is outside the Citizens Bank Park stadium like this is so powerful matchup and both teams are battling for first place. Besides that ESPN knew that the Mets STINK last year and would continue to stink this year and they are treating this game like it's going to be some exciting baseball? This game should be at 1pm on a local Philly/NY channel not ESPN at 8pm.

The Mets should not have any national televised games

TV numbers. A last place mets team will get more razor blades and cars sold than a first place brewers team.

And why is that? The entire country wants to see the Phillies dominate the Mets?

ESPN doesn't care if both team are battling for last place they only care about ratings

NY Mets and Philly both have large fan bases

What's sad is it's not even a rivalry

Two teams from the same division make up a rivalry, whether you happen to like them or not. And when you're talking about two of the largest cities in the United States, meaning that market size suddenly enters the proceedings, you can count on more of the same.

Perhaps you would prefer more Yankees-Red Sox?

Regardless of the market size the Phillies should not be playing a losing franchise on national TV

Since when do you care - well at least about the phillies - you are a huge Phillies hater

In general it seems you really do not route for anyone just against all Philly teams

Because I like to see competitive baseball not one team stomping on the other
