I saw him pitch in a game against the Mariners at some point in 98 or 99. It was a blow-out. But, he pitched excellently that day. He always seemed to be on the cusp of becoming something greater than what he was. And that was his problem.

That was the tough thing. He was supposed to be the next Clemens or Ryan. For someone to meet those expectations is quite tough.
