MLB Top Collapses - coolstandings.com

#1 1995 California Angels. 8/24 99.9% chance of playoffs and missed.

On Sept 3rd the Boston Red Sox had a 99.6% chance of making the playoffs. If they fail to make the playoffs, that will be bad for 3rd biggest collapse all time.

The research was carried to the 256th place, the 1984 Phillies who blew a 50.1 % chance, if losing a nearly 50-50 shot may be called blowing it.

That will be good information if you are ever challenged with the trivia question.."Which team blew the 256th best chance to reach the post season among all the teams that had at least a 50.1% chance and didn't make it?"
